Imperial Delusions

Rice said Tehran's vision of the Middle East was totally opposed to Washington's. She reiterated accusations Tehran is backing "terrorist activates" in Iraq, the Occupied Palestinian Territories and in Lebanon.

"We may face no greater challenge from a single country than from Iran, whose policies are directed at developing a Middle East that would be 180 degrees different than the Middle East we would like to see developed," she told a congressional hearing.
Someone ought to tell her that America no longer gives a flying shit what Washington's 'vision for the Middle East' is.

Besides, it's glaringly obvious that Washington has been overrun by rightwing Likudniks that DO NOT have American interests in mind.

US and UK conducted new nuclear tests today on a new nuclear warhead.

Iran threatened to withdraw from the NPT. I bet a nuclear test 2-4 weeks after it withdraws from the NPT.

Iran correctly identified Russia as a wolf in sheep's clothing. The moment the plan was rejected, Russia's real face was shown.

It is a brave new lawless world. Nothing to worry about -- this is the way it always was. We were just lulled into complacency by the UN :) for 55 years.

"Likudniks"???

Even Israel does not have the Likud party in power anymore. The party is Kadima, a centrist party.

Hey, I guess that explains it.

Who needs to control Tel Aviv, when you control Washington?

QRS, Let's get real.

The people in charge of Washington are war mongers who use "defending Israel" as an excuse for war. You and I both know this. In fact, the Iraq War has been a disaster for Israel, and I believe an all out war with Iran also would be a disaster for Israel. It will only increase the number of suicide bombers.

People like Richard Perle (and others like him) are not pro-Israel, because they are not pro-anything, other than death and hate.

I am real. It's you who insist on denying reality.

"Perle is a strong supporter of Israel and a strong advocate of the 2003 invasion of Iraq, predicting that Iraqi forces could be defeated in no more than months. Though President Bush declared just a few months after the war started that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, as of early 2006, United States armed forces were still in Iraq suffering daily casualties.

He is a member of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) and was one of the signers of the January 26, 1998 PNAC Letter sent to US President Bill Clinton. Perle has spent considerable time in Israel and is a supporter of the conservative Likud party."

Read what I said.

The invasion of Iraq does not actually support Israel, because all it does is cause more suicide bombing.

Just because Perle says he supports Israel does not mean his actions actually support Israel. Furthermore, he is far more right wing than the Israeli government.
