Joseph Smith & Brigham Young's legacy continued: Forced marriage of young girls in the fundamentalist Mormon cult

Joseph Smith and Brigham Young advocated polygamy not only as an original doctrine (Doctrine and Covenant section 132; see FAQ byline for answer) but a fundamental part of the Mormon life.

Brigham Young taught that:

"Now if any of you will deny the plurality of wives, and continue to do so, I promise that you will be damned . . ." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 3, p. 266)

"The only men who become Gods, even the Sons of God, are those who enter into polygamy . . ." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 11, page 269)

Original member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles (Mormon apostle) Orson Pratt affirmed Young's doctrinal assertion as a prophet:

"The Lord has said, that those who reject this principle [polygamy] reject their salvation, they shall be damned, saith the Lord . . . they will finally go down to hell and be damned if they do not repent." (Journal of Discourses, vol. 17, pp. 224-225)

While the mainstream Mormon Church continue to deny the connection between mainstream and fundamentalist cults, one fact remains stubborn -- mainstream Church cannot extricate itself from the doctrinal origins that taught polygamy as the only salvation needed to attain Godhood in the uppertop level of Celestial Kingdom in Heaven.

The mainstream Mormon church is still guilty for imposing the horror of polygamy continued by the splinter group The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as the remnant of the founder Joseph Smith's legacy.

Because the top mainstream Mormon leaders know their church to be a sham, yet they take "no shame" in continuous exploitation of the faithful members by deception which essentially sanctions the exploitation of minors and oppression of women carried out by corrupt and depraved FLDS men who take the early doctrines literally to seek the prestigious prize as Gods in Heaven.
