The reason the palestineans use all kinds of weapons is also simple. They want to destroy Israel. So do the Iraneans, the Syrians, and so did the former Iraqi government.
Israel is fighting for survival. It never destroyed any country, nation or people although it has the power and had many opportunities to do so. It did wage bloody wars and did commit crimes during those wars. So did everyone else. Show me one country who did not commit war crimes, which does not justify them, evil people are everywhere. War itself is such a painful and ugly business that I wish non of you will have to experience it as I or my friends did. But when it comes down to the survival of my kids, I will do ANYTHING necessary, and be willing to pay the price for it, so long they have a future.
As for Anonymus 2's point about funding Israel, I can see the logic, but bear in mind that that money the US pays Israel each year is used to buy arms from American companies (that's the condition on which Israel gets that money). So it basically goes back into the US economy.
Also, if you think that the Israeli Palestinean conflict makes you pay $4 a gallon, you must be forgetting the rising chinese demand for oil, the trouble in oil producing countries in Africa and South America, the damages of Hurricane Katrina to the US oil industry, the war in Iraq, political unrest in Saudi Arabia etc. etc.

Just to remind you that a few weeks before the fighting began PM Barak met with PA chairman Arafat and offered full and comprehensive peace. Arafat's answer was this war we are waging for the past 6 years.
