'stay the course' really means 'cut and run'

I guess we shouldn't be too surprised since in this bizarre new world we live in, freedom means slavery, war means peace, and ignorance is strength. It's only fitting that 'stay the course' really means 'cut and run.'

Nevertheless, it's refreshing to see their doublethink exposed in all its hypocritical glory for all the world to see.

I'm sure, senator Durbin (D-IL) never suspected that he'd get an honest and humane answer to the condescending tripe he posed as a question to Ret. Colonel Thomas X. Hammes, who managed bases and facilities for training Iraqi forces in 2004.
If Americans don't make it crystal clear to Iraqis that we're leaving, Durbin asked, how will Iraqis ever "understand" that "the greatest military in the world is not going to stay there indefinitely at no cost to the people of Iraq."
Apparently, 60-70 Iraqi lives lost per day, on average, mean nothing to Durbin.

Anyway, Colonel Hammes' reply not only exposed the administration for the lying hypocrites that they are, it also taught Durbin a lesson in humanity that I'm sure he'll never forget.
"While we have rhetoric in Washington that we're not leaving, if you watch what we do on the ground - [and] you know our strategy is clear-hold-build, we took away the BUILD money; we won't do the HOLD because we won't provide sufficient troops; we won't give them equipment.

So, we've made it very clear to them that this administration is looking for a way out and is getting ready to cut. That is the impression I get from their actions and what they're doing in Iraq.

We say [Iraqis] won't fight, yet we say to our soldiers you can't go out and fight unless you're in a Humvee. But, you Iraqis - pile in the back of that pick-up truck, you'll be just fine.

We disparage their courage, yet they come to work everyday, knowing that their family could be massacred. The Iraqis who worked for me wore civilian clothes in, and kept where they lived a secret. They had to come through a kill zone - a known kill zone, that was bombed repeatedly - and they came to work.

I don't think there's a lack of courage on the part of Iraqis. There are very confusing signals from the United States. And for all of our rhetoric that we will support them, they watch what we do and what we are doing is not supporting them. What we're doing is saying you're second class and we're just looking for a way out of here.

I'm frankly not surprised that they haven't stood up more than they have."
But, I AM SURPRISED that Americans haven't stood up more than they have to this lying, thieving, racist administration and their suckalong Congress.

Its amazing what occurs to you once the anchors and talking heads are taken out of the picture.

Earth is a documentary that has been designed to snap many of the contradictions that exist between what might be understood from a diet of North American News media and that of paying attention to other more worldly sources that exist outside the continental U.S.

All the images were shot or broadcast over the month of June 2004 and it is an experimental news program that spans a month - as opposed to a day

no shit? Murdoch owns youtube???

What's your source?

I'm not tech savvy, myself. I rely on good friends to help me get by.

Youtube is convenient. But, of course, anyone with actual video files are welcome to help me post them.
