Children of martyrs and captives express solidarity with parents on Eid

GAZA, (PIC)-- A group of Palestinian children in Gaza who lost one or of both of their parents or whose parents are imprisoned in Israeli occupation jails lit the candle of “Freedom, Hope and Determination” in honour of martyrs and captives.

This activity took place during a rally held by the popular committee for Palestinian captives and the Captives Support Organisation held on the eve of Eid al-Adha at the International Red Cross compound.

The general coordinator of the popular committee, Nashaat al-Wahidi stressed the importance of holding such activities to express gratitude to those who fell defending the Palestinian land and people, to remember those languishing in occupation jails and to expose the crimes committed by the Zionist occupation against those captives.

For his part Jamal Farwana, of the Prisoners Support Organisation stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation between the various organisations working in this field to keep the issue of captives in occupation jails at the top of national agenda.
