Times are hard, but DON'T LOSE YOUR HEADS

Things are really bad, I admit. But, don't lose your heads like this poor man in Belmont, NH. You know things are getting out of control when people start killing themselves by guillotine.

The poor guy "wasn't heard from or seen by his family since Thanksgiving." Now, I'm not blaming his family. But, in retrospect it's not hard to see the lesson to be learned: don't wait four weeks before contacting a family member that you haven't heard from in all that time!

One of his neighbors said "I would have helped him out in a heartbeat."

Similarly, lesson learned: if you know your neighbors, ask about them regularly. These are hard times. If you wait for them to reach out to you, it may be too late.

If you don't know your neighbors, now's the time to get to know them. Not only will getting to know your neighbors NOW increase the likelihood that you will cooperate with eachother when things get REALLY bad, it will also decrease the likelihood that you'll kill eachother if the shit hits the fan.
