Rabbi Dovid Weiss on Iran, Hamas and Israel
From reading through the comments on a recent post I thought I'd add a different, third voice to the discourse. No synthesist, No Zionist, Rabbi Dovid Weiss, leader of Neturei Karta, is, in his own words, a "True Torah Jew." Here's some of what he has to say.

Orthodox Jews the world over, are saddened by the hysteria which has greeted the recent stated desire of the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to see a world free of Zionism. This desire is nothing more than a yearning for a better, more peaceful world. It is a hope that with the elimination of Zionism, Jews and Muslims will live in harmony as they have throughout the ages, in Palestine and throughout the world.
It is a dangerous distortion, to see the President’s words, as indicative of anti-Jewish sentiments. The President was simply re-stating the beliefs and statements of Ayatollah Khomeini, who always emphasized and practiced the respect and protection of Jews and Judaism. The political ideology of Zionism alone was rejected. President Ahmadinejad stressed this distinction by referring only to Zionism, not Judaism or the Jewish people, regardless of whether they reside in Palestine or else were.
We concur!!… Orthodox Jews have always prayed and till today, continually pray for the speedy and peaceful dismantling of the Zionist state. As per the teachings of the Torah, the Jewish law, the Jewish people are required to be loyal, upstanding citizens, in all of the countries where-in they reside. They are expressly forbidden to have their own entity or state in any form or configuration, in this Heavenly decreed exile. Furthermore, the exemplification of one-self, with acts of compassion and goodness, is of the essence of Judaism. To subjugate and oppress a people, to steal their land, homes and orchards etc. is of the cardinal sins, of the basics crimes, forbidden by the Torah.

We are Neturei Karta International, representatives of the Torah abiding Jews throughout the world who stand true in their Torah observance and stand strong in their opposition to Zionism and the state of “Israel”.
As you may well know, we Torah Jews, have always stood in complete solidarity with the Palestinian people.
True to the precepts of the Torah, we have always acknowledged and accepted the Palestinian rule over the entire Palestine. Further, in accord with the Jewish teachings, whichever party and whichever system of government that the Palestinian people choose, was and is completely respected and accepted by us, the Jewish people.
Now, on the occasion of the recent elections that have taken place in Palestine, we join our brethren in Palestine, in humbly offering our blessings and congratulations to you leaders, followers, and supporters of the Hamas organization upon your success…
Therefore we declare our total opposition to Zionism and the state of “Israel”. We furthermore declare our total support and solidarity with you, the Palestinian people.
Leaders of Hamas, upon your elevation to the position of official representatives of the entire Palestinian people, we offer our blessing and a prayer to the Almighty:
MAY the Almighty guide you and bestow upon you His wisdom to enable you to lead the Palestinian nation according to His will.
MAY the Almighty unite the hearts of the Palestinian people to accept and embrace your leadership with love and good will.
MAY it be the will of the Almighty that we should merit to see the peaceful and speedy dismantlement of the Zionist entity - the state of “Israel” and the transformation of rule over the entire Holy Land, including of course Al-Quds, to its proper rulers, the Palestinian people. Then we can once again live according to the will of the Almighty, Arab and Jew as neighbors, as we have been doing for so many hundreds of years up until the inception of Zionism.

WHAT IS THE NETUREI KARTA?
Neturei Karta opposed the establishment of and retain all opposition to the existence of the so-called "State of Israel"!
Neturei-Karta is the Aramaic term for "Guardians of the City. The name Neturei-Karta originates from an incident in which R. Yehudah Ha-Nassi (Rabbi Judah the Prince) sent R. Hiyya and R. Ashi on a pastoral tour of inspection. In one town they asked to see the "guardians of the city" and the city guard was paraded before them. They said that these were not the guardians of the city but its destroyers, which prompted the citizens to ask who, then, could be considered the guardians. The rabbis answered, "The scribes and the scholars," referring them to Tehillim (Psalms) Chap. 127. (Jerusalem Talmud, Tractate Hagiga. 76c).

well, Rabbi Dovid is a fab man
despite the fact that he uses "!" marks in his writing 9one of my pet peeves, i've heard him interviewed in discussion with people who disagree with him and haven't heard him raise his voice ever. calm and collected. pretty cool, i think.
Problem is "Judaism" by def. is Talmudism, following the Pharisees who murdered Christ,--which Talmud pretends to being official rabbinic "interpretation" of Torah. Jews follow Talmud, not Torah. Jews may say they follow Torah inasmuch as they follow rabbis' "teachings" as in Talmud. There's no such thing as a (religious) "Jew" who's not Talmudist. Secular "Jews" by race follow the Talmudists and Zionists. Zionism is mere Talmudism-Judaism put to practice.
Hence these people featured, "Torah True Jews" are mere strategic diversion. Jews by and large follow Talmud by their own profession, indeed, what their rabbis say and "teach" regarding Talmud, thence Torah. Judaism is extremely collectivistic by necessary nature and self-admission. Real question regarding significance of these particular "Torah True Jews"--they're not significant; u're essentially foisting diversion.

The Jews who count are the topmost, like Bernanke, Greenspan, Wolfowitz, Perle, Foxman of ADL, et al. Then there are the billionaires like Zuckerman (US News and World Report), Bronfman, and Rupert Murdoch who lead Jews, these all aligned again w. such as Supreme Ct. figures and Jews, Breyer, and Ginsberg, et al. These just immediately aforementioned are the real Jews of real significance whom all other Jews (virtually) follow and listen to.
The real issue is what the Talmud actually teaches: subjectivism, collectivism, hysteria, and narcissism--despite the propaganda of these "Torah True Jews." Thanks, Thor
Well, this rabbi represents one viewpoint of Judaism, amongst many. He is not fearing for his life by saying this. On the other hand, Salman Rushdie still has an outstanding fatwa on his head.

Btw, for the record, the reason why Jews do have so many topmost positions in the government and media, it has nothing to do with a zionist conspiracy. It has all to do with an extreme culture of learning. Across the world, Jewish families teach their children a love of learning from a very small age. In the Jewish tradition, the scholar is in the highest esteem. Second or equal to scholarship is a sense of humor. Just sit around a Jewish family meal ONCE and you will see what I refer to. The ability to laugh at oneself and the world is instrinsicly part of being a Jew.
The combination of both explains the profileration of Jewish lawyers and doctors, as well as Jewish comedians.
In my own family, my relatives are all doctors, lawyers, accountants, teachers, or in the media. They are professionals. Are they there because of a "Zionist conspiracy?" HELL NO. I should know about my own family. They are in their professions because of a natural predilection and talent for such professions.

Note the words "peaceful dismantling". He did NOT call for the murder and death of fellow Jews (to) help bring about the downfall of Zionism.
Israeli Minister Threatens Gaza “Holocaust”
In Israel and the Occupied Territories, at least 18 Palestinians have been killed in continued Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip. Thursday’s Palestinian toll includes four young boys, killed by bombs as they were playing soccer. The youngest was eight years old. Another Palestinian child was killed along with two adult civilians. Palestinian officials say at least nine Palestinian militants also died. At least thirty-one Palestinians, including nine children, have died in the past two days of Israeli attacks. Israel says its responding to Palestinian rocket fire, with forty-five rockets launched from Gaza on Thursday. One Israeli was killed this week in the town of Sderot, the thirteenth Israeli killed by Palestinian rockets in the last seven years. A seventeen-year old girl was lightly injured Thursday when Palestinian rockets struck the Israeli town of Ashkelon. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak is warning of a full-scale Israeli invasion of Gaza. In what could be a first for an Israeli official, Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai has threatened a “holocaust” in Gaza if rocket fire continues. Vilnai said: “The more Qassam fire intensifies and the rockets reach a longer range, [the Palestinians] will bring upon themselves a bigger holocaust because we will use all our might to defend ourselves.” An opinion poll taken this week shows 64 percent of Israelis favor a ceasefire with Hamas—the highest majority to date. Hamas has made several proposals for a truce but the Israeli government has rejected its overtures.
This story is dated today Feb 29 2008! How can he make such a threat this proves Rabbi Weiss is correct in all regards. This should be on the top of all news stories but we will never see it in the UK or US.
