America's Finance-Driven Military Coup

It's been decades in the making, but we've reached the final stages of a FINANCE-driven for-profit military coup against America, executed by Cheney et al.

Conspiracy theory? You wish. The New American Century is upon us.
After leaving the office of Secretary of Defense, in 1993, Cheney walked over to take the leadership of Halliburton. Later, Bechtel-linked George P. Shultz, formed the team which was to become the Bush-Cheney government of 2001-2006.

Cheney appointed himself Vice-President of the George W. Bush, Jr. government, and controller of virtual puppet-President George W. Bush, Jr. Cheney and long-standing Cheney crony Donald Rumsfeld, as Secretary of Defense, conducted the wars which Cheney’s lies had launched.

More, and more, and more of the power of the U.S. military and military-related intelligence functions, were handed over to private enterprises of Halliburton, Bechtel, and their highpriced cronies, while the actual U.S. military and its regular intelligence services, were gutted almost into ruins today.
With dollars in every market and firepower to back it, the banks since February have been signaling the approach of an international financial meltdown, which they continue to affirm.

Now, the IMF, a few days after calling for the dollar to depreciate, has just been given the green light to close in on our economies as the crisis unfolds.
The International Monetary Fund won new powers to police the world economy after its 184 member countries endorsed a new framework to monitor how the economic policies of one country affects others.

"The IMF should be more able to address global questions with multilateral surveillance," Brown said.

The International Monetary and Financial Committee, or IMFC, said IMF surveillance would focus on spillovers and links between countries' economic policies and reaffirm their monetary, fiscal and exchange-rates frameworks.

IMF Managing Director Rodrigo Rato will have the authority to bring nations together on an ad hoc basis to thrash out any economic misalignments based on IMF analyses.
In other words, what they say goes.
The United States has pressured the IMF to broaden its surveillance to include the exchange rates of emerging countries, as Washington also pushes Beijing to loosen its tightly managed currency.

The IMF made the case that such a move was also critical to co-ordinating economic policies and preventing the unruly unwinding of huge global imbalances in trade and investment flows that could spark a world recession.
Another not-so-veiled threat to go with the program, or else.
Member countries welcomed efforts to enhance monitoring of exchange rates but most said they were hesitant about the IMF publishing analyses on the theoretical fair value of currency rates because it was market sensitive.

China, however, said this did not mean the IMF should interfere in how countries manage their exchange rates.

"Fund surveillance should comply with the objective of promoting exchange and financial stability and respect the autonomy as to exchange rate systems that is granted to all (IMF) members," China's Governor Zhou Xiaochuan told the IMF committee.
The Chinese think that they can play with fire without getting burned. But, legions before them have tried and failed - when you sell your soul to the devil, expect a room with high temperatures.
In addition, Japanese Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki, said rebalancing the global economy not only had to do with more Asian currency flexibility.

"I believe what is paramount now for each member country and region is to implement steadily the policy measures needed to strengthen its respective economic fundamentals, which would contribute to resolving global imbalances in a smooth and orderly manner while maintaining sustainable growth." he said.
What he means is that any government who hasn't done so already must immediately sell control of whatever's left of their natural resources, raise taxes, slash health benefits, cut social security - mercilessly reducing its citizens to abject poverty - then privatize every conceivable public service that exists, or will ever exist, including water AND military defense (PDF).
[S]ince a threatened nation’s people will act to defend their rights under such circumstances, the instruments of physical power of the sovereign state are the most efficiently deadly foe of any attempted, imperialistic financier-oligarchical insolence.

So, what Cheney has been doing, first as Secretary of Defense, then since 2001, and still today, has been to work to take the power of government away from the nation-state, and transfer that POWER to SHOOT to financier interests owned and used by the imperialist financier class. What Cheney has done to that effect, is therefore far worse than treason.

Rid ourselves of his position in government, urgently, now, while you still may, and restore the military, intelligence, and police functions of the nation back into the hands of constitutional government. Reverse immediately all legislation and other actions which perpetuate what is the intrinsic corruption associated with the legacyof the functional relations among Cheney, Rumsfeld, George Pratt Shultz, Halliburton, and Bechtel.
We, my dear friends, are undergoing a finance-driven military coup and anyone that stands in their way with crazy ideas about freedom and democracy will be branded a terrorist and dealt with accordingly.

Brush me off and wait until it's over, but don't say I didn't warn you.

Sorry, Citisucks. The first page (the one you left the following comment on) just disappeared. Technology - can't live with it, can't live without it!

Here it is:

Great post. The truth is often so scary which I think is why so many people have difficulty accepting the truth. It is all out class warfare which the rich are enacting againt the poor (formerly known as the middle class).

But anyway, in reply to your comment, I'd like to emphasize that characterizing it as class-warfare is not helpful, even though it appears to be a fairly accurate description.

The real issue here is not 'how much money a person has,' but HOW they managed to get it. You cannot fault a person for being wealthy through honest means.

True, there are very few if any wealthy people these days who have not accumulated that wealth through fraud and/or exploitation (whether or not they're aware). But, that does not mean that in principle and in theory it isn't possible to have disparities in wealth. So, there is nothing wrong with being wealthy per se.

The central issue, therefore, is to recognize that the RULES (i.e., laws) of the game must be honest and fair, giving each person equal opportunity to advance in their lives, and not fraudulent and RIGGED in the interest of those who enact them.

A principled approach to these problems is our only chance. If we truly want to influence people we must remain as inclusive as possible to those who would otherwise embrace principled lives.

In other words, we should avoid personal epithets that divide people by political party, class, race, etc.

We MUST focus on honest principles.

Qrswave, I believe poster is joking, playing upon the Christian saint Bernard of Clairvaux who lived back in 12th cent. Aside fm that, again, u merely give detail in ur blog regarding Orwellian "perpetual war for perpetual peace."

Revolution must come fm "grassroots," and emotional appeal is necessary for any mass movement, antisemitism being one of those things perfectly made to order--at very least for significant part of that mass appeal. There will be other necessary components, but antisemitism is unquestionably a great primary.

Once that antisemitism can be effectively linked w Federal Reserve Bank (Fed) counterfeiting Fraud in the mass mentality, I think significant progress might well be made. Jew accomplices among gentiles gotta be dealt with too--the common link, philosophically, for the Jew-oligarchal conspiracy is SUBJECTIVISM, unquestionably. Hence the great trinitarian ideal (for USA and the West, generally, surely) is (1) reason, (2) antisemitism, (3) Christianity (Christianity supplying the positive, counterbalancing the antisemitic negative). For Muslims of course, third component must reflect their own culture. Nonetheless it's quite obvious reason so effectively equates with antisemitism.

Keep up all ur outstanding blogging-information-journalistic efforts. Honest elections and death to the Fed. Thor

I must have changed the title to this post 5 times now.

Sorry about that. Exam time and my mind is distracted.
