Ripping off the Rothschilds

If one visits this website

http://www.oldbaileyonline.org/

and enters the keyword "Rothschild"

they will find about 67 cases (dated from 1821 to about 1905) containing that name.

Most of them reference an incident where a Rothschild was either the victim of a theft or assasination attempt.

Never were any (with the exception of one) listed as a perp.

That was a case of MARK ROTHSCHILD , stealing 8 watches, and 2 rings, value 55l.; the goods of Joseph Simon Samuel, his master. (MR. BALLANTINE offered no evidence.)

Verdict - Not Guilty.
