Greenspan VIOLATES Constitution!!!

Greenspan was hailed as a SHEEP-herder by the QUEEN of England!

"Greenspan . . . was awarded the Freedom of the City of London with its ancient and arcane right to HERD SHEEP across London bridge." (emphasis added)

Uh, excuse me, Greenspan just concluded "more than 18 years at the helm of the U.S. central bank."

I guess that makes US the SHEEP!!!

BUT, there's MORE!!!

"[Y]esterday he also became a freeman of the City of London and he has signed an OATH of ALLEGIANCE to Her Majesty the QUEEN to do so -- something . . . Americans have been reluctant to do for the last 250 years..." (emphasis added)

"[Gordon] Brown said he convinced Greenspan to do so by telling him that former U.S. Presidents Dwight Eisenhower and Theodore Roosevelt also had taken similar oaths."

Uh, Gordie, American officials are not simply "RELUCTANT" to swear allegiance to the Queen of England.

WE are categorically PROHIBITED from doing so under Section 9, Clause 8 of the US Constitution!!!

To wit, "No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State."

IMHO, it sounds like Greenspan just violated the US Constitution.

US Secretary of Treasury, John Snow, remarked that Greenspan "brings to the G7 a commitment to think things through deeply, he brings a powerful and ordered intellect to bear on questions of the global economy."

Yeah, Right!

What? The economy is stagnating? Raise interest rates to stimulate investment!

What? Too much spending? Raise interest rates to discourage borrowing!!

What? We're out of coffee?!! RAISE INTEREST RATES, Dammit!!!

European Central Bank President . . . praised Greenspan as "a major, major actor of global finance and the global economy" and also gave a nod of approval to his successor.

"I am absolutely sure Bernanke will be a fantastic president of the Federal Reserve."
