Israel agrees to 48 hr “cessation of air activities”

Unable to withstand the fury of global outrage, Israel has capitulated and agreed to 48hrs of "cessation of air activities" to allow for civilian evacuations. But, CNN reports live that there is currently an extraordinary amount of air activity, with some planes approaching very close to the ground. It's not accompanied by explosions, but the reporter says it's unprecedented in frequency.

This remains a very precarious situation, and as I said in response to another comment, today the naked truth of Israeli agression has them flipping about like fish out of water extracted from the safety of their lies.

Unfortunately, with their lies and brutality exposed, they are now cornered. We can only anticipate even more desperate measures on their part, as their only recourse is unbridled terror.

I pray to God that I am wrong.

UPDATE:

MAKE THAT 24HRS!!!

In ten minutes, it will be reduced to 12hrs. Israelis measure in dog years.

IMPORTANT CAVEAT Just in!

Israel reserves the right to attack ANY target that it SUSPECTS is about to target it.

That'll be it's carte-blanche for attacking whatever it wants to. Scum..

Government buildings and residential buildings are right next to one another in Tel Aviv and in every capital in the world.

Bombing to fight guerrillas is the extreme act of cowardice. Go in there on foot, and fight like men.

Dresden, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Baghdad, Lebanon - all extreme acts of cowardice - that's the crucial point.

===============================
There is a silver lining to all this, however perverse it may sound: all people under 40 (more than half the world population) were not around in '48, '67, '73 or '82. But they've seen it now - Zionism at its best - in the age of the Internet.

Who said Israel hit the self-destruct button???

Just in - Israel bombed a Lebanese Catholic radio station

Great now they have the Muslims AND the Catholics P.O.ed -- who are they going after next? The Amish? The Buddhists? The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

BEIRUT, Lebanon, JULY 30, 2006 Radio MNS, an Arabic Catholic radio station, was one of the many means of communication recently silenced by Israeli bombs in Lebanon....
Buisson explained that the radio had broadcast prayer and the Mass in Arabic 14 hours a day, and "covered Lebanon, Syria, southern Turkey, eastern Iraq, northern Palestine and Jordan."

Notice the barely contained glee at these deaths from the anti-Israeli crowd. You delight in their deaths because you think it will help you win an argument on the internet.

Schadenfreud.

GLEE??? Have you ever been in a warzone? Obviously not.

When faced with the unimaginable one often resorts to sarcasm because it is the only way to survive. Unless you're a sociopath like it appears many in both the U.S.. and Israeli governments are.

I don't want to win an argument on the internet: I want to educate others so that they can educate others.

I want Catholics to call their parrishes and protest. I want them to take the pictures of the dead of Qana and the Gaza Strip to every church in their diocese and show every single person coming out what Israel is using their tax dollars for.

I want them to call the Vatican and scream. That's what I want.

The only silver lining in any of this is the impending flaming death of I$rael.

Digital, you know that I care about you. I appreciate your efforts and very much appreciate your continued support, but I find that statement very offensive as I believe that Jesus is God's prophet and that he is the son of the virgin Mary, peace be upon her.

It is not necessary nor helpful to insult him or her, especially since we all value the same things whether or not we believe in God and His prophets.

Just because some people (calling themselves Christians) grossly misinterpret the word of God and kill and pillage in His name, that does not justify defaming the name and reputation of people who others believe are God's prophets.

Please, I beseech you to accord them some measure of respect (not endearment), if only for my sake. Thanks.

Hi,
Would you guys be intrested in carrying amnesty international's "Irrepressible Info" content- it automatically updates with exerpts of censored content from other political internet sites and is downloadable at http://irrepressible.info/. I created a blog to carry it but it would be so much more useful on sites with substantial readership- if you could pass the message around it would help.

Another query- does anyone know of accepted procedures for estimating accurate crowd numbers at rallies and protests? It seems that one method in which information is distorted for propaganda purposes is by selective under or over reporting of crowds at these events. Cheers.

This radio broadcast explains everything you ever wanted to know about crowd estimation and solves many of the myth's about it.

I took the time to write up a blog entry in light of Qana massacre.

It's exhaustively thoughtout that went through a few rough draft stages before I finally submit to post the entry.

The post would be properly perceived as disturbingly polemical with a touch of hard Swiftian satire.

Whew. Back to relaxing, doing house chores and returning to work the next day...

what happened to the anonymous-megas? I guess registering is too difficult for them.

qrs: never my intention to upset you. I believe Jesus was a man with a message and that message got him killed. I believe I have removed all comments that may have offended YOU.
I really couldn't give two hoots about christian sensibilities and all I wanted to do was try and shock them into doing some research for themselves.
I am still trying to IM you but it aint working. I think I have come across something very relevant but cannot really just comment it because it will be gone probably shortly after the megas get to it.

Get Real,

I am a Catholic, and I have to say after seeing graphic pictures of the children killed, I could care less about the christian being offended by general comments - what offends me is the death of so much innocense. Any man who insults christians or any other religion is reacting to this TRULY offensive material and to the Christian Whack jobs that would readily support the genocide of the entire muslim community and the onset of Armageddon.

digital, nevermind friend. Give me your yahoo handle again. I misplaced it. Or just add me as a friend (qrswave) and let's chat.

You can always send email to qrswave@yahoo.com

And yeah getting rid of the anonymous worked pretty well.People are going to have to own up to their comments.Too many whiners roaming around.

mathman, of course the lives of innocent people are more important than insults. But, the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Alan, I think redirecting aid to any coutry would be better than giving it to Israel.

It appears to be against the rules to kill innocent(very loosely used in this context) Zionists. I don't have a problem with jews except for the ones that live in Israel and the ones that support Israel. Then again if they knew the religion they profess to follow then they would know that in the eyes of God they are heretics.

That's as ridiculous as it is evil.

What's up with you? Are you some sort of agent provocateur?

This is deplorable. IF they are fighting 'terror' then why do I see all these dead children's pictures on my miniter? I have yet to see a single picture of a 'captured terrorist' or even a 'dead terrorist'. What were they all pulverized? Did they spontaneously combust or evaporate? Did run off faster than an incoming artillery shell and leave the women and children to suffer? NO to all of them, especially the last one.

I was disappointed when 'israel' refused to grant the 72 hour ceasefire. I am outraged that my computer screen is filled with the results of that refusal. I errantly believed after causing such carnage that perhaps they would 'go to a neutral corner' and give the people and the world a moment to collect themselves. My heart grieves for these children.

I find myself at a loss for words right now. I need a break from this crap, as I'm sure my brothers and sisters and their children are in far greater need of one than I.

peace
ksdrover
