Fantastic interview on Ahmedinejad's part. He makes Wallace look like a frothing at the mouth lunatic. While Ahmedinejad rationally discusses politics and answers questions Wallace keeps to the zionist line of interrogation. When zionist influenced America policy is held up to the light of reason and sanity it is woefully deficient.
I don't believe in 'heroes' but this guy is in my top 25 of rational people. He actually continues to teach a college class on top of all of his other responsibilities. My hat(if I wore one) is off to this guy. If we could see this man and Bush in a battle of the minds Bush would look like Custer at Little Big Horn.
I wish we could have him for a president instead. HEY Iran wanna trade?
I don't know whether to accept Ahmedinejad at face value. I heard he studied in Britain for a time. The budding conspiracy theorist in me thinks "did They get at him then? did They earmark him then??" I've also heard that many Iranians think he's a "religious" lunatic, just like many Americans think the same of Bush. The problem is, if he is basically honest then it might be hopelessly naive of him to expect to be treated fairly. If They want to smash Iran up, then that might be just what They do. Justice and reason didn't stop Lebanon copping it just recently. Not to mention Iraq or Afghanistan.
Sorry to have only these confusing/depressing thoughts to offer. I've actually been *dreaming* these honest-man/cruel-reality thoughts about Ahmedinejad and Iran this week. Too much internet perhaps.
What a brave man. The only muslim leader with the gutts to stand up to America (read Bush administration). I fear for his life though. God protect and bless him.
YouTube shared video links of the four 60 Minutes excerpt clips are no longer available due to copyright violation complaint by CBS.
I have taped the longer interview on C-SPAN using a Fuji master tape for special events.
I sent Mr. Ahmadinejad a favorable comment, despite obvious religious and geopolitical in human rights difference. But I compliment him as a humble man who answered to deludedly opinionated albeit accidentally 'pro-Zionist' suck-up Mike Wallace's barrage of bullshit accusatory questions with deflections in slightly humorous jabs.
It is quite amazing Mr. Ahmadinejad have far more incisive insights on the anatomy of the interventionalist U.S. foreign policy and racially arrogant Zionist Israeli attitude. He possess the higher degree of rationale, intelligence and wisdom than Bush/Cheney/Rice/Rumsfeld/Bolton & PNAC /American Enterprise Institute pundits combined.
Perhaps Mr. Ahmadinejad should recommend the faithfully accurate Persian-Arabic translation of Sun Tzu's THE ART OF WAR to the military and patriotic Iran citizenry.
Hezbollah's resounding defeat of the powerful and bestial pummeling Israel military force is the greatest compliment to Sun Tzu the strategic military philosopher in spirit in the military battle history of existing human civilization, small or large scale.
