16 rate hikes, going on 17 - and no outrage
Beyond all the media hype about free speech and democracy, the right to bear arms and pray to your own God, and the sanctity of property, Americans are really just another sorry example in human history of a people sheepishly herded from one place to another, never questioning the source or nature of their sustenance - or lack thereof - until the time comes for their slaughter.
The dollar rose to a one-month high as currency traders consider Fed rate increase.
Traders are expecting the [Fed] to increase the interest rate for the 17th consecutive time when the US Central Bank meets this month in an effort to stave off inflation, which added to the dollars rally against the euro this month.The dollar is more "attractive" to investors because with it they can collect more interest as the fascist Fed increases the discount rate yet again, all in the bogus name of "fighting inflation."
The dollar traded at .7929 euros in early afternoon trading in New York while stocks fell in anticipation of the Fed's rate increase.* * *
The 10-year US treasury bond yield rose 0.04 percent to 4.985%.
THE resulting so-called "increased yield" is extracted (by extortion) directly from the hides of every single working American - male, female, mother, father, grandparent. Even teenagers must work to help their families "make ends meet" in an economy where interest payments regularly balloon.
These are the hallmarks, not of a republic of free men, but of a kingdom of slaves.
It's time for Americans to scrap this interest based system of debt and demand an interest-free monetary system - where people must WORK to earn money - NOT sit back and collect it.

You started two threads spouting outright venom towards Israel, and since then your venom has been defeated with facts. Of course, you do not update your readers with facts. Duly noted.

Qrswave, u keep bringing this "interest-free" stuff up over and over. I think rather best approach is simply RULE-OF-LAW wherein people do anything they pls but for specific things forbidden and so agreed democratically.
Monetarily, we simply need commodity-based currency, hence convertible to whatever metal-base or whatever--consistent with sanctity-of-contract.
I like "Miss R" above, so insistent and obsessed w. putting in word for Israel, for insisting people must so worry about Israel getting a good word. Israel sure needs a good word, eh?
Bush II and Council on Foreign Relations (CFR--see TheNewAmerican.com) seem somewhat happy--they have Orwellian "perpetual war" going nicely. "Consumer confidence" is still sufficient for CFR Judeo-oligarchs, evidently.
But I suspect there are problems nonetheless for Bush and Judeo-oligarchs as people evermore see the parallel of Bush II with Ken Lay, now convicted former CEO of ENRON. People see Bush II is traitor as (a) "perpetual war" is ultimately designed against USA too and surely, actually, most of all, by CFR Judeo-oligarchs.
(b) Observe Bush II is so eager to afford and facilitate the invasion of USA by illegal alien invaders.
Above a and b parallel is just one sign-pattern for citizens' inductive logic; there is much, much more too. Bush II must now prove he's not a traitor.
Thus blogging not only uncovers the real and most pertinent details, it also provides some first-order, immediate-type ANALYSIS, making use of inductive logic for people's information.

Of course, money must be interchangeable with both commodities and services - otherwise it would lose its utility. That is not inconsistent with being interest-free at the central level.
Unfortunately, people would be free to charge interest under private contract. But, that is wholly different from thrusting debt and interest upon the people by government decree.

The next great cultural step in historical cycle is Christian volk of USA, and indeed the entire world, to wake up and realize Hey, Christianity is SUPPOSED TO BE ANTISEMITIC. Islamics must realize Jews are subjectivistics and Talmudic lie-worshippers.
Regarding fractional-reserve money and banking, note the fraud is in the counterfeiting of the money supply, not merely the interest-charging, which interest-charging is mere "icing" on the proverbial "cake."
The fallacy is in "loaning" of "money" which Fed bankers don't possess, which "money" DOESN'T EVEN EXIST, but which is then reified and "created" by Treasury through Fed printing presses. Charging interest on top of it all is actually mere diversion.
The Fed is primarily a counterfeiting fraud and scam--interest is extraneous and really immaterial. Obviously if interest is charged on every note issued, ultimate and full interest charge along with original principal can't possibly be paid--but this is mere additional absurdity, a compounding of something already fraudulent, the counterfeiting which takes place immediately. I was having the exact same thoughts today. 98% of Americans are idiots. Look at all the idiot American's out there driving around in SUV's complaining about how they much they spend on gas and charging things that they will later have to pay 33 percent interest on. The idiot American's can't even wait a few years to buy a house that they can't afford and that they are taking out interest only loans on. This country is going down and it is going down hard because not only is the suppossed leadership corrupt and stupid so are the people. And a little less than half of them are even to stupid to see that the Democraps are a fake opposition party.
Nationalize the Federal reserves and take it from there. :)
The way I see it, the current government is just a big laundry machine to wash money for the top fraction of percent of very clever and rich people.
I think the problem with people is not stupidity per se but rather that they don't know/want to behave and do the way they say.

Problem w. world is there's too many stupid people--indeed, that's always been problem w. world, all throughout history. Things would be a lot better if there was less stupidity, but noooooooo, people just gotta insist on it. Problems would be solved if folks would just reduce the stupidity levels--but they're just too stupid to realize it, alas. But that's what Greek tragedy taught us long ago: life sucks.
If we eliminated Jews and Israel all at once, things would be better for a good while, I suspect, though of course, human nature would quickly reassert itself, back at each other's throats.
