Rocky!!! Rocky!!! Rocky!!!

No, not Rocky Balboa - Mayor Rocky Anderson from Salt Lake City, Utah (a predominately RED state) gets into the ring with an MSNBC News anchor to defend his anti-Bush protest speech the other day.
MSNBC Anchor: Mayor, a lot of people have said that you're supposed to be the Ambassador for this city and that there is probably a more constructive way to act in leading this big protest as the president arrives in the city that perhaps you should be more gracious about this visit. What do you say to those critics?

Mayor Anderson: Well, I'm a gracious person. But, I also think that all of us have a far greater role than just ceremonial. Rather than just stand there politely and give standing ovations to a president who has done so much damage to our nation, we all have a tremendous moral responsibility to stand up and oppose our president when we see him taking our president in such a wrong direction. I don't think that it could have been better said than by Theodore Roosevelt who noted that those who say that we should stand behind a president, right or wrong, are not only servile and unpatriotic, but morally treasonable to the American public and [these] were great patriots standing up out of love for their country yesterday, voicing their opposition to this admininstration.
He did a good job of tactfully turning the tables on her, so that she and anyone else questioning his patriotism are exposed for the servile traitors that they are.

This is a small but sure sign that the resistance is growing - beyond that which they can effectively control.

Rocky rules. That's the kind of people we need in government in this country, and I think we will soon see many more of them. Very encouraging and heartwarming.

I wonder if Rocky is acquainted with Dr. Steven Jones, Professor of Physics at Brigham Young University??

Optimism should be more than encouraged. However, times are still dark enough that it should be encouraged with caution as well.

Only the corporate terrorist MSM in the states would be stupid enough to suggest being gracious to a mass murderer! Yes, we should all turn our backs, get in our SUV's, and just pretend like innocent children aren't dying. It is the proper thing to do. How can people actually take the assclowns in the MSM seriously?
