Who hijacked my religion?
Ali is fed up with the number of 'experts' paraded on tv to 'explain' Islam to the masses. He reminds us that the tricks of the trade are far from unique and have been used by the media before to demonize the targeted 'enemy.'
Don’t think we’re the first people who are victims of this propaganda.Coincidence? I don't think so.
Remember the way Japanese were treated during World War II?
Or the way African Americans were treated during the civil war movement?
You get the picture. History continues to repeat itself.
And the way that stereotype is built [in] a very sneaky, sneaky way.
You flip on the tv and you see images of black people stealing. I guess they assume if you see it enough times you’ll start believing that all black people steal . . .
Or, all Hispanic people cross the border so they can steal your jobs . . .
Or, all white people are trash, or all women are inferior to men.
And the false list of stereotypes goes on and on.
These tactics are nothing new. It’s the same tricks over and over again.
Is there anything we can do to stop them from spreading lies? Probably not.
But we can take our own minds back from the media. And we can stop giving them access to our childrens'.

I can't agree more.
It was the same with the Jews who were demonized in WWII. People kept hearing about a global Jewish conspiracy and actually believed it.
Sadly, it's exactly the same with Muslims. Oh well, I guess everybody needs a culprit they can throw all kinds of sh*t at
Don't forget that Germans were demonized by the media before both World Wars.
Remember the Iranian terrorists in Back to the Future? God, the 80's had such a negative cultural impact on this nation.
Hey, Fred! Yeah, you're right! I totally forgot about that!
We've been worked on all our lives.
Islam isn't the only faith that has been hijacked by extremists bent on distracting the masses from the truth.
Most people have been hypnotized into believing that the radical elements are indicative of the entire faith, while those that practice their faith correctly remain unseen.
Truth is not a commodity to be bought and sold. It is immutable and eternal and those that allign themselves with it have their lives changed in a positive way that affects others in a positive way.
We need to all become more aware of our similarities rather than our differences. I think this guy does a fantastic job of breaching the wall the media has erected.
