Why freedom isn't ‘free’
Everybody, especially our [s]elected officials, talk about how freedom isn't free.
The desired implication, of course, is that 'we the [working] people' must sacrifice our lives to maintain it. But, did you ever ask yourself why?
If people are 'born free', then why must we fight to remain free? More importantly, exactly WHO or WHAT are we supposed to be fighting?
Or better yet, why (if Americans are so free) do we work all our lives to attain 'financial freedom'?
Is this the same freedom that we fight for with guns and F16s? What's the deal?
I smell a rat.
In this excerpt, an anonymous author demonstrates how the banking system and its bastard child INTEREST, which is nothing but a nice word for legalized, government facilitated, extortion, has managed to enslave almost every American, leaving US with only the illusion of freedom.
Damned straight it can't. Money can't walk, talk, or work, let alone 'make money.'Many people today do not understand the true nature of interest. They have no idea that there are other possibilities besides slaving one's life away for the moneylenders. . . .
All the ads that surround us are not going to help us to control our desires. On the contrary, their aim is to make us want many things that we cannot afford. If we do not make a conscious decision to control our spending, human nature will coax us along with the herd into spending more than we earn—which can only result in debt. This destroys our happiness and spending power, because we not only pay for it later, we pay for it with interest. Debt would not be so bad if you only had to pay back $10 for every $10 borrowed. But unless you borrow from generous family members, you will pay back $15, $20, or even $30 for every $10 borrowed.
Lastly, the plague of Debt Slavery can be blamed on the "system"—the credit card companies and the economy itself. The credit card companies are guilty because they send out 6 BILLION credit card offers a year to families nationwide (that is the actual number, not an exaggeration!). And when they get you to carry a balance, they only ask for a small monthly payment—which barely covers the interest on the loan, keeping their victims in debt for many years. The economy is also to blame because there is not enough money in circulation to go around [I disagree - there is, but a few people hoard it and bid up asset prices with it]. But the credit card companies are not all-powerful—they are easily resisted. So the victims of their schemes must bear at least part of the blame. After all, I receive dozens of such offers every month, and I know what todo with them. I cast them with disgust into the trash where they belong. I react as if someone tried to chain me up and cart me off to prison (because that is what they DID try to do!)
To illustrate the evil of Debt Slavery, take a family that has a $9,000 balance (the current national average) on a credit card that has an 18 percent interest rate. Since they read How to avoid Debt Slavery, they decide to cut up the card and never use it again. Even if they pay the minimum payment of 2 percent of the balance each month, plus interest, it will take them 47 years (and close to $33,000) to pay off that $9,000 debt!So every $3 gallon of milk cost them $12, every $50 pair of shoes cost them $190, etc. If I had to pay that much for goods and services, I'd be pretty low on cash!
Now imagine how much money they'd be giving away to the bankers if they owed $18,000, or even $25,000! They'd never be free, unless they started paying big chunks off the principal (by sending in extra payments). Now we will define Debt Slavery by what it is NOT—namely, freedom.* * *
Americans pride themselves on being free, but how free is a man who:Those traits describe someone living in serfdom or slavery, not freedom. It describes someone living under a tyrant—who takes most of the peasant's income, and just keeps them alive enough to keep working for him. The tyrant tells them how many children they can have, and forces even women and older children into public service projects. The land, the house they sleep in, and the animals they work the fields with do not belong to the peasants, but to the tyrant.
- Does not own his house
- Does not own his car
- Owes thousands of dollars to various banks
- Has to send his wife to work out of necessity, because his expenses are so high
- Sends his children to public school, because he cannot afford private school
- Restricts the number of children he has, because he feels he cannot afford more
- Pays a huge portion of his earnings every month to his "masters", the bankers
The tyrant today is not the government (although Income Tax is something surprisingly new in our nation's history). The tyrant is the network of banks, which conspire to suck people dry at every turn, which causes such a drain that both parents have to work. This alone causes countless problems in the world today, because children were meant to be raised by their parents. They were not meant to be wards of the state.
On a side note, I am not a "good little consumer". I contribute almost nothing to the banking system—neither paying interest, nor giving them money to lend out at exorbitant rates to other people. If I kept $5,000 in the bank, they could lend out $50,000 at 6 or 7% interest, while only paying me 3% interest on that $5,000. Talk about massive profits! Banks can lend out 10X their cash reserves, due to the structure of the Fractional Reserve banking system. Now you see why the banks want your business! Whether you're a saver or a spender, they can make big money off of you.
I stick to reality—if something does not make sense (like every man, woman and child making 8% each year, every year, on the stock market) then I do not participate. Sure, money can be made on the stock market, but once in a while the whole thing crashes because it was puffed up like a marshmallow in the microwave—just begging to pop. The same with real estate. When money can be made without any effort on my part, I become VERY suspicious. How possible—or moral—can that possibly be? Who am I exploiting to make that money? I know for a fact that money cannot produce more money by just sitting there.
Our fractional reserve monetary system is a fraud compounded by interest which is nothing but legalized extortion.
Wakeup, America! International bankers and their usurious money system have done a massive bait and switch on the American people - taking away our real freedom and sending us to kill and die not to protect 'our freedoms' but to enslave others.
So, next time someone tells you freedom isn't free, tell them it would be if it weren't paid for in phoney dollars - AT INTEREST.

Awesome post. I always tell people that if they want to do something to help themselves, do all they can to get out of debt. Especially credit card debt. All indicators point to economic rough times ahead. When/if that comes, it's obviously best to face that with as little debt hanging over your head as possible.
vper1! where have you been? we missed you!
thanks, for the comments everyone...:)
you guys should do a post about how the columbine shooters were jewish specifically targeting christians and this is why the audio part of the videos inside the school havent been released. of course you will never hear all this in the jewish controlled media and the neo-cons used michael moore to come out with his movie for more gun control. smart tactics.. we gotta be smarter.
i finally got out of debt a year ago and it feels good. if any of you guys and gals are stuck in debt...wether its $5k or $50k (or more!) go to http://www.genus.org/ and they will contact your creditors and have them lower your interest rates. some of my credit cards went from 18% to 0%... some went down to 5%.... anything helps! and this organization will make all the payments for you to your creditors.. you jut send your monthly payment to them ad they take care of for you (they do have an optional $5 donation for their services- it is optional). joining this agency will show up on your credit score as being in a credit management plan, but it will not effect your credit score at all. it shows the creditors you want to pay your bills in good faith. i did this and it took me less than two years to pay my $18k bills off. the sooner you get out of debt, the better!
I couldn't agree more with this post and have found an interesting look into the slavery chains that bind us.
Thanks, truth.

Only one thing I can add: Sieg Heil! I guess you must have been reading "Mein Kampf" recently, because you paraphrased so much of it very eloquently. My father lost many good friends on June 6, 1944 on the beaches of Normandy in a fight against people who taught the very ideas expressed here. Many people in Germany and other places were deceived by the Nazi Party then. Whatever new name this philosophy is hiding behind now, I see the same philosophy survived and has once again reared its head in this world.
I can only hope that not so many people are deceived this time, as were deceived by Adolf Hitler in 1933. The evidence before my eyes is that the deception has started.

the only problem is that without loans and interest our economy's growth would be slowed detrimentally. Unfortunately, our lives would not be the same. We are accustomed to a high standard of living and loans/interest is a major contributer to it. You speak as if people who go into debt have suddenly lost their freedom, but i hope you see the exaggeration you are making. In our country debtors aren't even sent to prison. Now I think pay day loans and credit cards that charge over 25% qualifies as extortion and our government should do a better job regulating our financial institutions. Someday, you'll want a house and you'll join us slaves, and when you get home from your long day of work and sit back in your lazy boy you'll see it's not all that bad.
If the bank owners were personally responsible for loan losses do you think they would have made all those bad loans? They can socialize the losses and take all the profits, so they do. Fractional reserve loaning is totally corrupt, a government-approved Ponzi scheme.
Loans from fractional reserve banks are inherently “liar’s loans”, the lie being, the bank is loaning money that it really doesn’t have. The Fed and the thousands of banks creating these liar loans create inflationary conditions that actively discourage thrift: people throw their money at something that hopefully will go up a lot in price in order to hold onto the buying power of their money, trading the certainty of being screwed in the long run for the chance to possibly avoid being screwed at that future time. Debt-money leaks out value like a bucket with a hole in the bottom leaks out water.
This is just going to keep happening until the basic cause gets fixed.
First of all, WE NEED OUR OWN DEBT-FREE CURRENCY, backed by all of the real estate owned by the United States (which is, in fact, all of the real estate within the national boundaries, and really more than that including other nations whose continued claim to existence depends on U.S. defense of that claim; case-in-point, Kuwait, 1991), we should distribute that new currency in monthly equi-dollar amounts to all legal residents (amounts due minors to be held in trust accounts). Also, we need bankers to be held financially responsible for any loss of depositors’ money (if they want to gamble with fractional reserves, it’s the bank owners who should pay, not taxpayers, and if you lose your own money by depositing it in a fractional reserve bank, again, it’s YOU who should pay, not taxpayers. How can we ever expect things to get right with a system based on socializing losses?
Next, we should REPLACE ALL FEDERAL NON-CONSUMPTION TAXES with a one-half percent(+/-) Tobin-type tax on ALL outgoing electronic transactions (avoidable by using cash for all transactions, and, since avoidable, the tax will be arguably being paid voluntarily) in order to:
1. Pay off the national debt,
2. Repair the damage that the U.S. government has done to persons and the free market by favoritism (reparations for having “Constitutionalized” slavery might be considered) and excessive regulation (e.g., we need about 4 times as many doctors and healthcare professionals as we currently have in order to have enough competition extant to get medical costs back to the realm of affordability, and we would have had them had there been a free market in medical education), and
3. Extract and destroy excess currency as required to avoid inflation.
No other form of Federal non-consumption tax would be allowed (this tax could go to zero when it has done its job if there is no inflation in the system).
The monthly equi-dollar distribution amounts should be of sufficient quantity (assuming $1000, that’s $24,000 Federal tax-free per couple, plus whatever wages and other income they bring in) to be considered sufficient replacement for all forms of corporate, farm and personal welfare, including subsidies, welfare, tax incentives, Social Security (to be phased out), Medicare, the Federal Minimum Wage law, and ALL OTHER forms of Federal financial redistribution schemes; there won’t be any need for separate Federal retirement accounts since there won’t be any income or investment taxes.
For those who like their political solutions morally justified, the monthly equi-dollar distribution amounts can be considered “justified compensation” for the denial of free access to all the property that the government has privatized.
With everybody getting the same monthly amount, and everybody paying the same percentage increase of fiat money, there is no redistribution nor inherent injustice in the plan.

For people to not know that the last vestiges of the Republic were swept away in March of 1861, to suddenly wake up and realize something is dreadfully wrong is a good sign. How can individual freedom be protected in a defacto state system where the prevailing authorities DO NOT HAVE THE LAWFUL RIGHT TO GOVERN? We entered into contracts that were material frauds funny how will still persist to believe we are somehow morally bound to them? Is it moral to feed a corrupt and criminal system or is it moral to reserve our property (Our bodies, our time and labor) for our own critical needs? There is a simple trick being played on all of us. Until we know the law and realize the important difference between what is lawful and what is legal then we will continue to chase our tails. http://www.roage.com
Two things.
1. In the last paragraph of your post "International bankers ... have done a massive bait and switch on the American people - taking away our real freedom" you make it look as though those bankers aren't American. It should be made clear that most of the big international banks that do this to people are American and do it not only to Americans, but to people all over the world.
2. The movie Zeitgeist (www.zeitgeistmovie.com) covers that extensively. Have you seen it? I really recommend it.
THE END OF MONEY
Everybody thinks they know,
and the whole world is deceived.
Is it surprising that prophecy, told us that’s how it would be?
We kill over religious differences, despite a commandment not to kill.
We eat things we shouldn’t,
and make up for it with a pill.
We follow the antichrist,
and no one knows his name.
Nothing is said against him,
he shares none of the blame.
The words of the Christ,
are skewed, and restrained.
As Saul became Paul, in the light of Satan’s reign.
Money became power,
not on earth as it is in heaven.
The Roman Catholic Church
was formed from the seven.
It, and all of it’s spinoffs, don’t have a clue.
They are on the same path,
but not the path that is true.
The true path is all helping all, and making life better was Jesus’ call.
Helping only for what you can get, leaves an empty feeling in your stomach pit.
It was Paul that wanted money, instead of good deeds.
And built not only a church,
but a world that bleeds.
We have even lost sight,
on how to turn the other cheek.
Life’s become about being strong, instead of meek.
The people cannot follow
the clear words of God,
while the path to their happiness is blocked from this fraud.
If money is around,
with it goes power.
And few will have access
to the abundance life can offer.
But if we all worked together, without financial reward, we could all have everything. We would never get bored.
And we automate more,
not worrying about jobs or cost, Mom’s can be mom’s again, and nothing is lost.
The economic incentive,
will be gone once and for all.
To hide new technology,
because your company might fall.
Things will move much faster, toward becoming stewards of the earth.
We have so little time to change, our climate depends on our rebirth.
I call for a new society,
based on trust and truth.
We can all work hard,
and reap from all the fruit.
And we won’t ever have to hear, how it’s too expensive to build a city on the moon.
We will just start on it one day,we might as well get started on it soon.

It is insane how we let these so call "world leaders" do what they do, I mean they think they own us, and the worst part is that we are letting them believe that, world is so wrong, I hope the 2012 theory is true so we can have a new start.
