How many times do they think they can parade this tired old tripe on the world stage before people start catching on to their shenanigans?

In all fairness, their strategy this time is somewhat better planned. No need to find any pesky old weapons of mass destruction. Tony and gang plan on dragging Iran before the U.N. Security Council for merely "resuming research on enriching uranium."

Nevermind that "[e]nriched uranium can be used both in nuclear weapons and power plants," that Iran "disavows any interest in nuclear weapons" and that it plans to use it for "civilian ends" which it "says is within its rights under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty."

Lies all lies! The world will never believe Iran's raving leader, Ahmedinijad!

The Iranian leader [is vehemently anti-Western and] has repeatedly questioned Israel's right to exist in the Middle East.

Blasphemy! We're the superpowers! We have the moral high ground! And if you don't like it, we'll call in ALL our loans!

And, if that doesn't work, well, you're either with us or against us. But of course, "[t]he military option is always the last option" (which we always get to, when push comes to shove).

Apparently, George is unimpressed that Iran constructed its first civilian nuclear powerplant at Bushehr. He's convinced that oil-rich Iran has no need for nuclear power. But, Iranian officials insist that a nuclear power plant

"would be beneficial to the economy because it would free up more oil and gas resources for hard-currency sale abroad."

Now, we're getting somewhere! Not only is Iran's oil bourse slated to open in March 2006 - to trade oil in EUROS not dollars - but Iran's new civilian nuclear capacity will enable it to trade a MUCH larger volume of oil on the world market than it currently does posing an even greater threat to the petrodollar's hegemony.

That explains the recent printing frenzy at the FED, the discontinuance of M3 publication in March, and phony Tony's declared sense of urgency.

"We have to take immediate steps to protect the security of the world," the British leader told Parliament.
