Russia Plays Both Sides of The Table

If you think that Russia's planned sale of anti-aircraft missiles to Iran indicates a preference for Persians in their conflict with the US, think again . . .
[Russia] launched a satellite Tuesday for Israel that the Israelis say will be used to spy on Iran's nuclear program. The satellite is designed to spot small images on the ground and would allow Israel to monitor Iran's nuclear program and long-range missiles, an Israel defense official said.
The Russians are looking out for number one and they'll work with whomever advances their interests. Although Russia and China maintain that negotiation is the only option, this new development will surely heighten tensions as the Security Council deadline draws near.
