Israel’s Deadly ‘Web of Deception’

As Israel continues its murderous assault on defenseless civilians in Lebanon and Palestine, evidence mounts that Israelis are lying, both about their reasons for bombing civilians and decimating Lebanese infrastructure, and about the extent of damage and number of lives lost on their side.

Yesterday, after seeing images of Israeli girls signing shells at a heavy artillery position, an anonymous poster keenly observed:

I think the most telling point is being ignored. The Israelis were saying Northern Israel was getting hit by hundreds of rockets before the invasion, and that the intensity has increased since.

Yet here are little girls out in the open by an artillery piece.

Making lies out of whole cloth, as it were, is their specialty.

He's not alone. I first suspected that something wasn't kosher about Israeli claims that residents in the north lived in fear when I saw this image of an Israeli bathing on the northern shore of Israel, July 15, 2006,while it was supposedly "raining" rockets.


The following day, when 8 Israelis railway workers were allegedly killed by rockets in Haifa, I could find no credible evidence that any Israelis were killed. Yet, in retaliation, Israelis intensified their assault on Lebanon.

Then I noticed that while tens of thousands rushed to escape Isreali hell-fire in Lebanon, hundreds of Israelis were RUSHING TO ISRAEL.

Finally, yesterday, Israelis reported one man was killed by a rocket in Nahariya:

Police said six to 10 rockets struck Nahariya, killing one man ***as he walked down a street toward a bomb shelter*** and setting fire to the top of a two-story apartment building. Firefighters rushed to the scene.

"I was near the bomb shelter. There was a humongous boom," Eli Dayari, a witness at the scene of the fire, told Israel's Channel 10 television. "People are panicking."

Today, it's a different story:

A dozen Hezbollah rockets rained down Tuesday in the Israeli coastal town of Nahariya, with one of them landing ***on a house and killing one person INSIDE,*** Israeli medical sources and the town's mayor said.

"I was near the bomb shelter," eyewitness Eli Dayari told Israeli TV, according to The Associated Press.

"There was a humongous boom, and I saw it was two meters next to my house, really two meters. People are panicking and the house was on fire."

In this CNN video, Anderson Cooper reports that when a rocket explodes in Israel "there are moments of chaos but it is surprisingly controlled . . . they immediately cordone off the entire area - they push the press back[.]"

Now, we know why.

Are there rockets being fired on Israel? No doubt. But, the damage they cause are nowhere near the scope nor the scale that Israelis continue to use to justify their ongoing brutal and relentless assault on civilians.


The only thing that's "raining" on Israel is worldwide condemnation as they continue their cowardly massacre of hundreds from the safety of the skies and - for added protection - behind a web of deception.
